A month in the sun: winter in Spain and the Canary Islands
When it is cold and foggy at home, southern Spain and the Canary Islands are still warm. A month in the sun means a longer stay of two to five weeks, which you book with Top 10 Putovanja just like a regular holiday: flight and accommodation in one package. Your stay is not tied to exactly 28 nights, so you can choose a shorter or longer period. Below are three destinations where we offer longer stays with flights from our airports, with the lowest prices we checked on 4 and 5 October 2026.
☀️ Winter daytime: around 15 to 16 °C ✈️ Departures: Zagreb, Ljubljana, Trieste, Venice or Treviso 📅 Length of stay: flexible, e.g. 21, 28 or 35 nights

Fuengirola is a lively town on the Costa del Sol with a long seafront promenade, markets and a train that takes you to Málaga airport in about 35 minutes. A few kilometres to the west, in Calahonda and Mijas Costa, it is quieter, and accommodation is mostly apartments with a kitchen and washing machine. Flights are regular, so you choose the length of your stay yourself.
Two neighbouring resorts between the airport and Fuengirola. Torremolinos has long beaches and the former fishing quarter of La Carihuela, while Benalmádena has the Puerto Marina harbour and a cable car up Mount Calamorro. Here you will find some of the best-value apartments for a month in the sun, even under 800 € per person for 28 nights.
The warmest choice: in winter, daytime temperatures are around 22 °C. From Ljubljana we fly to Gran Canaria from November to April and to Tenerife from November to January, for 14, 21, 28 or 35 nights. The south of Gran Canaria has long sandy beaches and plenty of apartments with a kitchen, while Puerto de la Cruz in the north of Tenerife has a town centre and a promenade.
An apartment with a kitchen is usually more practical and cheaper than a hotel for a month, as you can cook for yourself.
Choose your own dates: on the hotel page, change the departure date or the number of nights in the calendar. If the dates you want are not available, write to us.
Pack some warmer clothes too: evenings can be cool, and the Costa del Sol also has a few rainy days in winter.
Your European Health Insurance Card is also valid in Spain, so take it with you.
