Recenzija od Clairellind1A lovely stay at Aqua Marina with fantastic staff
We recently returned from a holiday at the Aqua Marina Hotel and Spa and had a great time. The hotel makes a fantastic first impression—the lobby area is spotlessly clean, and the pool area is well-maintained with great sunbeds that were perfect for relaxing.
The standout part of our stay was definitely the team. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We’d like to give a special mention to Robert, the hotel manager, who was wonderful. A big thank you also goes to the bar manager (the gentleman with long hair in a ponytail and a dark blue shirt) and to Dani, the bar waiter, who was absolutely amazing and so funny. The food was consistently tasty, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience throughout the week.
There were just a few areas that kept this from being a perfect stay. We found the rooms to be quite sweaty and muggy, even with the air conditioning on, which unfortunately wasn't very effective. The beds were also quite hard for our liking. We were initially placed in a room with two double beds before being moved to a quad room; while we appreciated the move, the view from the new room wasn't great. It was also quite dark. Additionally, it would have been a nice touch if at least one drink was included with dinner rather than having to pay for everything separately.
We also struggled with the power points in the room—the plug situation is quite ridiculous. There were only two sockets, and they were located by the TV away from the beds, which made charging phones overnight very inconvenient. They were also nowhere near a mirror, making it difficult to get ready. There was one plug in the bathroom, which was fine for hair straighteners, but otherwise, the room could really do with more accessible power points.
Overall, we enjoyed our time here, largely thanks to the brilliant staff. Thank you for a lovely trip!

We stayed at Aquamarina Hotel Santa Susanna for 12 nights as a family of four. On arrival, we were greeted at reception, however the check-in experience was not as informative as we expected. We were not told about how the towel service worked, the deposit system, the safe, or some of the room features, which would have been helpful to know from the beginning.
The rooms themselves were a positive part of our stay. They were spacious, comfortable and cleaned every single day. We cannot fault the room cleaning staff, who worked extremely hard and did a great job throughout our holiday.
The cleanliness of the outdoor pool area was disappointing. Throughout our stay, the parasols were covered in dirt, rust and built-up grime, particularly around the adjustment mechanisms and bases, suggesting they hadn’t been properly cleaned for some time. The white side tables provided with the sunbeds were also stained and marked, giving them an unhygienic appearance. The poolside tiles had visible stains and dirt that remained in the same places for the duration of our 12-night stay, indicating they were not being thoroughly scrubbed or pressure washed around the sunbed area. While wear and tear is understandable, the level of dirt visible on the outdoor furniture and surrounding areas did not meet the standard we would expect from a 4-star hotel. Better attention to deep cleaning and maintenance of the communal areas would make a significant difference to the overall appearance and guest experience. The fountain area was also noticeably dirty for most of our trip. It was cleaned once, possibly after staff noticed guests looking down at how dirty it was, but by the following day it had returned to the same state. However, there was plenty of sunbeds to go around everyone while we were away. Also to mention that the lifeguards were present all day and were very hard working.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. The food was okay, but we found that a lot of the options were deep fried or quite oily, so there could be more variety and lighter choices available. Also, it would be helpful if food was labeled with universal signs.
I highly recommend the drunken dunk restaurant/pub which is around a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. Lovely food and great customer service. Also would recommend “OOPS” they lovely serve ice cream.
The animation team were a highlight of the hotel. They were friendly, attentive and clearly worked extremely hard to keep guests entertained.
The arcade itself downstairs was very good and full of different things to do for different ages.
Overall, the hotel is okay and has some great positives. The location definitely helps improve the experience, with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars nearby, as well as the beach being right on your doorstep. With improvements to cleanliness in communal areas and customer service at reception and certain areas of the hotel, it could be a much better experience.
This hotel has got a lot of potential to be a true 4 star hotel just with the right attention to detail and changes.
