Ohtels Belvedere: obiteljski hotel za odmor uz plažu Llevant i PortAventuru
Ohtels Belvedere je veliki četverozvjezdični hotel u Salouu na Costi Daurada, sastavljen od dva šesterokatna bloka okružena bujnim vrtovima. S oko 403 sobe i središnjim bazenskim kompleksom s toboganom i prskalicama za djecu, hotel je jasno orijentiran prema obiteljima i skupinama koje žele aktivan odmor s plažom, zabavnim parkom i trgovačkom četvrti nadohvat ruke. Plaža Llevant s dugim pješčanim potezom udaljena je pet minuta hoda, a ulaz u zabavni park PortAventura World svega nekoliko zavoja autom. Atmosfera je živahna i otvorena, a uređenje promišljeno, što je hotel svrstalo među omiljene obiteljske adrese na Costi Daurada.
Sobe i smještaj
Sobe su obnovljene 2019. godine i opremljene su klimom, ravnim televizorom, sefom i vlastitom kupaonicom s tušem. Standardne jedinice imaju dva pojedinačna kreveta ili bračni krevet, a širi izbor uključuje obiteljske sobe za četiri osobe, sobe s pogledom na bazen i sobe s bočnim pogledom na more. Svaka soba ima privatnu terasu ili balkon, što u ljetnim mjesecima stvara ugodan vanjski kutak. Oprema je funkcionalna, bez ukrasa, ali dovoljna za ugodan obiteljski boravak.
Sadržaji i usluge
Središnji bazenski kompleks uključuje veliki vanjski bazen s otočnim toboganima i odvojeni dječji splash park s prskalicama i vodenim pisaljkama. Uz bazene je sunčana terasa s pločicama i palmama, a na raspolaganju su i hidromasažni bazen te solarij. Glavni restoran nudi međunarodnu kuhinju u obliku buffeta s posebnom linijom bez glutena za goste s celijakijom, uz bazen radi snack bar, a u predvorju je kafić s barom. Fitness sa saunom, stolni tenis, bilijar i mini golf dostupni su na lokaciji, dok besplatna bežična mreža pokriva javne prostore.
Lokacija i posebnosti
Hotel se nalazi na uzvisini između plaže Llevant i ulaza u PortAventura World. Pješčana plaža Llevant pješice je dostupna u oko pet minuta, a glavna trgovačka ulica Calle Carles Buigas u dvadesetak minuta. Ulaz u PortAventura Park udaljen je oko dva kilometra, a javno parkiralište nalazi se na lokaciji. Međunarodna zračna luka Reus (REU) udaljena je deset kilometara, a veća zračna luka Barcelona El Prat (BCN) otprilike sto kilometara sjeverno. Hotel posluje sezonski od proljeća do jeseni.
Zanimljivost
PortAventura, najposjećeniji zabavni park u Španjolskoj, otvorio je vrata 1995. godine i od tada se smatra jednim od glavnih turističkih pokretača Coste Daurade. Park je poseban po tome što je podijeljen na šest tematskih svjetova, a jedan od njih je vjerna rekonstrukcija meksičkog trga s astečkom stepenastom piramidom.

A short drive from Reus Airport. Very quick check in and as we were a group of 4 had rooms allocated next to each other. There is a tourist tax to pay less than £30 for the 4 of us. The rooms are on the snug side and a distinct lack of storage space, but are pleasant enough. The safe you have to pay for, The aircon is included. The fridge temperature was on the higher side so didn't really keep the drinks cold. Nice walk in shower with gel and shampoo included, the towels were changed daily. The location is quite good being near to port aventura (walking distance of 20 mins max). The beach is only 5 minutes away There is a supermarket 2 minutes away. The food is edible but not very warm and more or less the same every day. but will keep you alive. Drinks are comparable to local prices. We didn't use the pool so can't comment. Although we did see sunbeds available every day. The shape of the complex means it is very echoey especially at night so can be very noisy.
I found the hotel to be clean and some of the staff quite courteous. Bar Staff. This is a big let down for the hotel. Staff need training on serving drinks. Language barrier is a start. The queues at nighttime horrendous. Especially with the dreadful weather and everyone congregating in the entertainment area. I asked for an Irish coffee and the horrified look I got was laughable. The person serving me proceeded to set the whiskey on fire before adding the coffee followed by no cream just added milk and frothed it like a cappuccino!! We had to repeat and repeat what drinks we would like followed by 1 person serving to another with a mobile phone placing your order which became chaotic. By this stage if you didn’t laugh you would cry. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Food very repetitive. Chicken every night became quite boring. Some restaurant staff ok others didn’t care less and in need of training. Long hair not being tied back needs attention. Don’t ask for wine as I was looked at as if I was speaking Swahili.I eventually got a bottle of wine only for it to be red and not white. God help anyone wanting Rose. I could go on but you get the gist. Would I return? Definitely not.
Extremely poor service from Reception and Reservations. Our group was given a price when making the reservation, but when they arrived in Spain, they were suddenly told that they had to pay more. How is it possible for an agreed price to increase upon arrival? This is a group of pensioners who came to enjoy their time together and play dominoes, but instead they were faced with unexpected extra costs and very little willingness from the staff to help. Even simple solutions, such as allowing two people to share a room, were not handled in a helpful or flexible way. Everything seemed to be considered extra work. This feels extremely unfair and gives the impression that guests are being charged extra once they have already arrived and have very few alternatives. This is certainly not the experience or service the group expected.
